First series of EmConSoil webinars are a hit
When the EmConSoil network first was initiated, back in 2019, OVAM wanted it to be an open network for all stakeholders from different sectors and countries. The aim of the network was to exchange knowledge, to develop strategies and policies through co-creation, to raise awareness, and intensify collaboration between all stakeholders.
Over the past year, the PFAS crisis caused an accelerated accumulation of knowledge in Flanders. To share this knowledge, EmConSoil organized four free webinars on dealing with PFAS contamination in soil. Averaging 150 participants per webinar, it may be called a successful first series.
An overview of the first series of webinars (including links to the recordings) can be found below.
Topics for next series wanted!
For these first four webinars, the focus was on the knowledge and experience available in Flanders. For the next series (from 2023 onwards), we invite (international) stakeholders to submit suggestions that go beyond the experience in Flanders.
- Target audience: experts, contractors, policymakers, companies, scientists ... who want more concrete and practical information on dealing with soil contamination by PFAS or other emerging contaminants
- Language: English
- Duration: 45 minutes presentation and 15 minutes Q&A (2 topics per webinar)
You can submit your suggestions via the contact form on the EmConSoil webpage.
