COCOON

Expertise centres from all over Europe developing policy instruments to valorise and integrate landfills into a circular economy.

The COCOON objective is to develop, integrate and improve relevant policy instruments, while increasing subsidies through operational programmes (OPs) for LfM projects. COCOON brings together distinct EU regions to share and capitalise on regional good practices.

RAWFILL

RAWFILL, a new concept, Enhanced Landfill Management & Mining ELFM2 guarantees sustainable management of landfills in the long run, while respecting environment and landscape. 

Sullied Sediments

Sullied Sediments is developing and testing new tools to better assess, treat and prevent contamination from certain pollutants found in the sediments in our waterways. 

REPAiR

The REPAiR project has developed an integrated model to support local authorities in the Circular Economy transition, focusing on waste management and spatial planning. 

URBANREC

URBANREC implemented an eco-innovative and integral bulky waste management system enhancing prevention and reuse and improving logistics and waste treatment in order to obtain high added-value recycled products in different EU regions.

FISSAC

The FISSAC project involves stakeholders at all levels of the construction and demolition value chain in developing a methodology and platform to facilitate industrial symbiosis and replicate pilot schemes at local and regional levels.

Regions for Recycling

R4R (Regions for Recycling) is an INTERREG IVC project which aims at promoting regional contributions to the European Recycling Society, by allowing local and regional authorities to make consistent comparisons thanks to a common method and exchange of transferable good practices related to local instruments in order to improve recycling performances.

CityChlor

CityChlor was an Interreg IVB-NWE project between partners from Flanders, Germany, France and the Netherlands. Partners worked on solutions for chlorinated solvents in urban areas.

Cradle to Cradle Network

Cradle to Cradle Network’s (C2CN) approach on waste offers a breakthrough in waste prevention and production in closed loops. 

SNOWMAN

SNOWMAN started as an ERA-Net project under the 6th Framework Program from the EU with a budget for five years (2003 - 2009) and was terminated on June 30th, 2009. The aim of the ERA-NET period was to establish a network of research funders, which was able to execute joint calls for research projects. This aim was achieved by establishment of the SNOWMAN Network.
